Candidate Views
Overview
Candidate Views are saved configurations of the Candidates (CRM) page table that allow users to control which candidates are displayed and what filters are applied. Views save automatically and persist across sessions — your configuration is restored the next time you visit the Candidates page.
→ See 105 - Candidates for full product knowledge on Candidates and the CRM.
What are Candidate Views and Why Do They Exist?
Candidate Views are saved filter configurations of the Candidates page table. Each View is a unique set of applied filters that the user can switch between at any time.
Views exist so that users can quickly navigate to specific segments of their candidate database without manually re-applying filters every session. For example, a recruiter might have one View for candidates with a specific status and another for candidates who entered the database from a specific referral program — switching between them is a single click.
Note: Saved Searches from previous versions of Leadline have been converted into Views. All previously saved searches are now available as Views on the Candidates page.
What is the Default Candidate View?
Every user starts with one default View:
All Candidates — displays all candidates in the CRM with no filters applied. This View cannot be closed or deleted. It is always the first tab on the Candidates page.
Additional Views can be created at any time.
Who Can Create and Manage Candidate Views and Can They Be Shared?
Any user with access to the Candidates page can create, edit, and delete their own Candidate Views. Views are not yet shared across the organization — Views created by one user are not visible to other users. Each user manages their own set of Views independently.
If you need to share candidate data with another user, the best approach is to export the View and share the resulting CSV file directly.
→ See 2802 - Export-Candidate-View for instructions on exporting a Candidate View.
How Do You Create a Candidate View?
Users can have as many Views as desired. Creating a new View generates a fresh list of all candidates — the same as the All Candidates View — to which filters can then be applied.
→ See 2801 - Create-Candidate-View for instructions on creating a new Candidate View.
Can I Edit the Columns Displayed Within a View?
Column customization for Candidate Views is planned for a future release. Column configuration will be applied at the individual View level when this feature is released. The current table columns are fixed for all users.
Can I Reorder Columns Within a View?
Column reordering is not currently supported on the Candidates page. Column width resizing is supported — column widths can be adjusted by dragging the column border directly in the table.
Can I Apply Filters to a View and Will They Save?
Yes. Filters can be applied to any View and are saved automatically in real time as part of that View's configuration. The next time you open the View, the same filters will be applied automatically. There is no need to click a separate save button.
When filters are applied to a View:
- Click "View Applied Filters" to review or adjust the active filters
- Click "Clear Filters" to remove all filters from the View at once
→ See 2804 - Apply-Filters-to-Candidate-View for instructions on applying filters to a Candidate View.
What Candidate Filters Are Available?
The following filters are available on the Candidates page:
- Candidate Status — display candidates based on their assigned status
- Tags — display only candidates with specific tags assigned
- Employer — display candidates by their assigned employer
- Favorites — display only candidates that have been marked as a favorite
- Channel — display only candidates who entered the database from a specific Channel Tracking Link
- Referral Program — display only candidates who entered the database from a specific referrer within a Referral Program
Note: When filtering by Referral Program, you can filter down to individual referrers within a program to see which specific referrer sourced the candidate.
→ See 102 - Admin-Hub for more information on how Candidate Statuses and Tags are configured.
→ See 106 - Channel-Tracking-Links for more information on Channel Tracking Links and Referral Programs.
Can I Search for Candidates Within a View?
Yes. The Candidates page includes a search input that filters candidates in real time as you type. Candidates can be searched by:
- Name
- Phone Number
- Email Address
Search uses fuzzy logic — results are ranked by how closely they match the search query, so partial matches and slight variations in spelling are still surfaced.
If no results are found, the message "No Results Found — Missing someone? You can add a candidate to the CRM using the 'Add A Candidate' button at the top of the page" will be displayed.
Can I Rename a Candidate View?
→ See 2803 - Rename-Candidate-View for instructions on renaming a Candidate View.
Can I Delete a Candidate View?
Yes. Views can be deleted at any time. The All Candidates View cannot be deleted.
→ See 2805 - Delete-Candidate-View for instructions on deleting a Candidate View.
Can I Set a View as My Default?
The All Candidates View is your default — it is always the first tab on the Candidates page and cannot be closed or deleted.
If you want a specific View to be immediately visible when you visit the Candidates page, simply leave that View's tab open before closing the browser. The next time you visit the Candidates page, the open tab will still be active with your applied filters intact.
Can You Export Candidate Data from a View?
Yes. The Export Data button exports a CSV file of the candidates currently displayed in the active View — respecting any filters applied to that View.
Note: Exported candidate data is sensitive. Handle exported files with care and in accordance with your organization's data privacy policies.
→ See 2802 - Export-Candidate-View for instructions on exporting candidate data from a View.
