Share Submission
Overview
This playbook covers how to share a Submission with other users in your organization. There are two supported methods for sharing a Submission. Regardless of the method used, the recipient must be logged into the platform to view the Submission.
→ See 112 - Submissions for full product knowledge on Submissions.
Method 1 — Share via URL
This is the fastest way to share a Submission.
- Open the Submission drawer
- Copy the URL from your browser address bar
- Share the URL with another user in your organization via your team's preferred communications platform
The recipient must be signed into Leadline and have the appropriate permissions to view the Submission.
→ See 113 - Workflows for more information on how Workflow assignment determines access to Submissions.
→ See 111 - Positions for more information on how Position access and Collaborator settings affect Submission visibility.
Method 2 — Share via Email
- Open the Submission drawer
- Click the "Share Submission" button located in the top right of the drawer, below the progress and reject buttons
- A modal will open to prepare an email to other users within your organization
- Configure the email and click "Send" to share the Submission
Note: Only registered users within the platform will appear as options in the "To:" field. You cannot enter custom email addresses — recipients must be existing Leadline users within your organization.
What Can a Recipient Do With a Shared Submission?
What a recipient can do with a shared Submission depends on whether they have access to the Position the Submission belongs to.
If the recipient has access to the Position: The recipient has full access to the Submission based on their standard permissions.
If the recipient does not have access to the Position: The recipient can view the Submission and communicate with the candidate via email or meeting scheduling. They cannot:
- Update the Submission stage
- Trigger Workflow automations
- Delete the Submission
- Reject the Submission
→ See 111 - Positions for more information on how to grant users access to a Position via Collaborator settings.
→ See 124 - User-Roles for more information on user permissions.
